Marathon Books Founder, Eric Wallor, is a competitive marathon and distance runner. Because running is a major part of Eric's life, the name 'Marathon Books' came easily to him.  When you think of Marathon Books, we want you to think of a business with the same qualities that someone running a marathon has to have: discipline, consistentcy, character, the ability to overcome limitations, positive attitude, and being able to complete a goal from start to finish. About Our Founder

Eric Wallor founded Marathon Books after his sister sold some her old college textbooks on Amazon. Eric thought this was a great idea and did the same thing. After several of his college textbooks sold he started selling some of his dad’s books. When those books sold quickly, Eric believed he could make this a full time business and that’s what he did. Originally, Marathon Book Seller served as a website where customers (mainly from the Chicago area) could sell their books directly by entering the ISBN’s of the books they would like to sell. Eric quickly realized there was an opportunity to help and reach more people and that he needed to build a website that had the capability to offer the services Marathon Books offers locally to the rest of the United States . As stated above, Marathon Books is not only a book buyback service, but an online bookstore and marketplace. Our delivery/pick up delivery service is the first known of its kind in the industry and is available to select Chicago area communities.
